Volunteer Opportunities
VSH relies on over 200 volunteers to work with our residents and program participants.
Volunteers serve on the Board of Directors and Board committees to help VSH develop and refine policies,
raise funds and market our programs and services.
Volunteer opportunities include:
New Clay House and South Richmond SRO
Be a mentor and assist residents with life skills training such as cooking, cleaning,
shopping, and budgeting. Coordinate social activities and athletic teams. Conduct Bible studies or prayer
groups.
Bliley Manor and Stratford House
Help residents with special projects, such as gardening/planting, spring cleaning, etc.
Bring meals either monthly or for special occasions.
HomeBuy5
- Help with painting of interior and/or exterior of the home
- Assist with landscaping
- Help a family move into their new home by providing transportation and/or manpower and donating "gently" used furniture and/or appliances
