Case Manager - Richmond Studio Apartments

Virginia Supportive Housing seeks a skilled human services professional to provide a range of supportive services to formerly homeless adults at our two flagship permanent supportive housing sites in Richmond. Across our properties, more than 90% of our tenants do not return to homelessness. Supportive services are an essential component of our permanent, proven solution to homelessness.

Responsibilities in this position include screening applicants to the program, assessing individual needs, developing service plans, connecting to community resources, collaborating with VSH property management to ensure housing stability, and providing direct services such as mental health support services, financial literacy training, and supportive counseling.

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  1. Experience in working directly with people who have experienced homelessness and who have special needs including psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.
  2. Familiarity with DMHMRSAS licensure and DMAS standards for community mental health services.
  3. Skills in engaging and motivating individuals toward their personal goals using a strengths-based, recovery-oriented approach.

Bachelor’s degree in human services and at least one year of clinical experience required. Master’s degree preferred. Salary commensurate with education and experience. Full benefits.
